Description

This PromptPlay allows you to quickly and easily access the power of GPT-3 for any text in any application. To use it, simply copy the text you would like to send to GPT-3 onto your clipboard. You can copy text from a document, a pdf, an email, or an article on the web.

How To Use It

Once you’ve copied the text, run the PromptPlay and it will send the text to GPT-3, along with instructions on what to do with it, and return the result. The result will be saved to a new Note in the Notes app, and will also be saved to your clipboard so you can paste it into any program.  You can run the PromptPlay from the menu bar or via keyboard shortcut.

Example Use Cases

• Summarize an article - If you are reading an article, you can select the text from the article, copy it, and run this PromptPlay. Then you can give instructions like “Summarize this article” or “Write a Tweet about this article, including a few hashtags”.
• Ask a question - If you are reading about a new company, select the text and ask “What are some competitors to this company?”
• Generate writing prompts - If you're feeling stuck on what to write about, you can copy a few keywords or a topic onto your clipboard and run the PromptPlay. Then you can ask GPT-3 to generate writing prompts such as "Write a short story that includes these keywords" or "Write an essay on this topic".
• Translate text - If you come across a text in a language you're not familiar with, you can copy it and run the PromptPlay. Then you can ask GPT-3 to translate the text into a language you understand.
• Edit text - If you've written something and want to improve it, you can copy the text onto your clipboard and run the PromptPlay. Then you can ask GPT-3 to edit the text, for example by suggesting better word choices, rephrasing sentences, or correcting grammar and spelling errors.
• Generate social media posts - If you're managing social media accounts, you can copy a piece of text, such as a quote or a product description, and run the PromptPlay. Then you can ask GPT-3 to generate social media posts, for example by suggesting hashtags, adding emojis, or rephrasing the text to fit the character limit of a particular platform.
• Create marketing copy - If you're working on a marketing campaign, you can copy a product description or a list of features and run the PromptPlay. Then you can ask GPT-3 to generate marketing copy, such as a product slogan, a tagline, or a value proposition.
